Solemn Reception of the Sierra Madre Cross in the Diocese of Malolos
The Sierra Madre Cross has ventured on its second journey as a means to increase awareness of the need to care for the environment, especially in the dioceses close to the longest mountain range in the Philippines. The cross came from the Diocese of San Pablo in Laguna and was brought to the Diocese of Malolos. It was placed in two parishes – the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, Marilao, Bulacan and was then formally brought and enshrined at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The city parish is the mother church of the largest city of the province which lies beside the Sierra Madre Mountain range. The Cross is also scheduled to visit St. Andrew Parish – Norzagaray, Nuestra Señora de Lourdes Parish – Doña Remedios Trinidad, and the Diocesan Shrine of San Miguel Arcangel, San Miguel.
