Here are the photos from the Diocesan Pastoral Assembly held on October 26, 2023 at 8 Waves Waterpark and Hotel, Ulingao, San Rafael, Bulacan led by the Bishop of Malolos, Dennis C. Villarojo and the Pastoral Planning Secretariat. This is the second year of the Synodal Journey of our Diocese with the theme Together to Christ: “Pakikibahagi” (Participating) 2024.
It was attended by Parish Priests and PPC Co-Chairmen, even religious, and mandated organizations. The gathering began with the morning prayer led by Fr. Samuel Estrope II and followed by a speech from Fr. Narciso Sampana. In the first part, Father Jason Laguerta discussed the theme of the year and he related it to the Jeepney where we can see the similarity of what is done during a whole trip, from boarding to disembarking, and the synodal journey we are doing. After this, Bro. Rolando Ortiz and Sis. Maria Cristina Bagaforo in relation to the topic discussed. There was also an Assessment of the results of the evaluation of past programs and activities by commissions from the Pastoral Planning Secretariat.
After this is the Bishop’s Hour where our dear Bishop Dennis Villarojo discussed the ways in which the comprehensive plans of this ongoing Pastoral Assembly can be implemented more effectively. In the second part, workshops were held to discuss suggestions so that the laity can experience the sharing that is the theme of the second year of the Synodal Journey of our Diocese. While gathering the suggestions in the held workshops, the Pakikibhagi Logo was launched with the official song and movement entitled “Makiisa, Makibihagi” where our Bishop encouraged us to learn it and use it as the final song at every mass. After collecting the results of the workshops, it was shared by Fr. RJ Brion in attendance. This was followed by the Open Forum led by Fr. Dars Cabral as mediator. At the end there was a Holy Mass presided over by Bishop Dennis C. Villarojo.
