August 08, 2024 – The Diocese of Malolos participated in the seventh National Catholic Social Communications Convention of the Episcopal Commission on Social Communications at the Aquamarine Recreational Center, Lipa, Batangas. The theme “AI: Authentic Influencers for an Empowered Church” was discussed in this gathering of social communications ministers from various Dioceses and religious communities of the Philippines from August 5th to 8th, 2024.
Reminder of Bishop Junnie Maralit, the Chairman of the Episcopal Commission on Social Communications, in his homily at the end of this gathering, “God is the only one who inspires us to know him. And by knowing God, we also know ourselves and what we must do – our mission and vocation to holiness.”
Archbishop Gilbert Garcera, Archbishop of Lipa, led the mass on the first day of the gathering and was followed by interviews from various guests such as Dr. Peter Monthienvichienchai, Bro. Arun Gogna, Bro. Bernz Caasi, and Dominic Ligot. Various catholic social media influencers, Fr. Fiel Pareja, Rix the Seminarian, Bro. Alvin Barcelona and many others. Renowned Catholic Comedian Romar Chuca also hosted some parts of the program.
The official delegate of our Diocese was led by the Chairman of the Diocesan Commission on Social Communication, Rev. Fr. Joseph Franz Dizon, together with Dec Bartolome – Media Relations Officer, John Byron Eusebio – DCSC Secretary, Mark Henri Ramos – Content Creation Manager, Lea Reyes – from the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Augustine, Dunhill Dimaapi and Darel Santiago – from the Parish of Santiago Apostol, Plaridel.
