Formally appointed on August 27, 2024, by Most Rev. Dennis Villarojo, Bishop of Malolos, Rdo. Father Quirico Cruz was installed as the sixth Parish Priest of the Parish of San Jose Manggagawa in Pandayan, City of Meycauayan. The holy Mass was attended by priests, members of various parish organizations, select guests, and parishioners.
Along with this celebration, Fr. Rico was in his 30th year as a priest. In the homily of Bishop Dennis, he emphasized the importance of self-giving and setting aside personal interest for the service of God and His people. "What brings us together are the values of the Kingdom [of God], the important things that the Lord has given us, so that we can work hard to achieve them as a people. And nothing important always exists because of self-interest," said Bishop Dennis. He added, "May we learn to sacrifice ourselves, sometimes our passions, sometimes our personal interests, for the good of the people... and the glory of God."
