CLSP 2023 ARRIVAL AND INAUGURAL MASS | February 26, 2023 | 5:30 PM | Parish of Saint Augustine, Baliuag City

FIRST DAY (FEBRUARY 26, 2023) | St. Augustine Parish, Baliuag, City

The Holy Mass was held as the formal opening of the 29th National Convention of the Canon Law Society of the Philippines led by the Most Rev. Dennis C. Villarojo, DD - Bishop of Malolos. Bishop Antonio R. Tobias, Bishop Emeritus of Novaliches and Bishop Nolly C. Buco, Auxiliary Bishop of Antipolo and also Chairman of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Canon Law as well as priest delegates, religious and religious and lay people celebrated together. After the Holy Mass, the official logo and song related to the said gathering was launched. The ceremonial mace was also translated from the Diocese of Pasig which sponsored the previous National Convention before the lockdown in 2020. The celebration ended with a procession to the image of La Purisima Concepcion de Baliuag or better known as "Ang Mahal na Birhen Patio".

SECOND DAY (FEBRUARY 27, 2023) | 8 Waves Waterpark and Resort, San Rafael, Bulacan

The second day of the 29th CLSP National Convention began with the offering of the Holy Mass presided over by the Most Rev. Charles John Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines with Bishop Dennis C. Villarojo of the Diocese of Malolos, Bishop Nolly C. Buco - Auxliary Bishop of Antipolo and Chairman of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Canon Law and Bishop Antonio R. Tobias, Bishop Emeritus of Novaliches. After the Holy Mass, the interviews about the Laws of the Church began.

The Papal Nuncio shared a message about the importance of Canon Lawyers in the Church and he also assured them that whatever is needed in their office, they will help to do as much as they can. This was followed by a keynote address by the Chairman of the Episcopal Commission on Canon Law and Antipolo Auxiliary Bishop Nolly Buco. He declared that Canon Law is what makes the life of the church beautiful and balanced. 

Fr. Danilo Flores, who is from the Diocese of Rome also gave a lecture. He paid attention to the story behind the changes in the Canon Law of the Church also called the 'Franciscan Reform'. 

In the lecture of Fr. Jose Junar dela Victoria who is the current President of CLSP, drew attention to the very document where the reductions and additions to the 'canons' under Book VI of the Canon Law were discussed.

THIRD DAY (FEBRUARY 28, 2023) | 8 Waves Waterpark and Resort, San Rafael, Bulacan

The third day of the 29th CLSP National Convention began with the offering of the Holy Mass presided over by the Most Rev. Nolly C. Buco, JCD, Auxiliary Bishop of Antipolo and Chairman of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Canon Law with Bishop Antonio R. Tobias, Bishop Emeritus of Novaliches. Interviews on Canonical Concerns of the CBCP began with a message from Bishop Pablo Virgilio S. David. This was followed by a discussion on Tribunal Praxis based on the experiences of the Pasig Tribunal.
