The Family and Life Commission conducted a Basic Orientation and Retooling on August 31, 2024 in the Parish of Santisima Trinidad, Barihan, Malolos City. This is a gathering of the leaders of the Commission in the parishes and vicaries covered by the Diocese of Malolos. Its purpose is to discuss, review and discuss the 3 branches of those who frame the programs of the commission: the Pre-Cana, Post-Cana and Pro-Life set when the Family and Life Commission was established on March 1, 1996 by Bishop Rolando Tria Tirona.
Rev. Fr. Winniefredo Naboya, Diocesan Judicial Vicar gave an input about "Pro-Life" wherein he emphasized the importance and love of life that comes from God; It also mentions opposition to artificial contraception, abortion and other methods of taking life in the womb of the mother.
Discussing the Pre Cana Seminar Rev. Fr. Dars Cabral reminded the newlyweds of proper grooming. He also suggested some changes in the conduct of the interview, taking into account the length and the location. Finally, Rev. Fr. Angel Santiago discussed the "Post-Cana" Seminar where there should be follow-up programs for the continued growth of the relationship between husband and wife, and their children towards the deep God of the whole family.
After these inputs, discussions and lunch, the launch of the CFL Primer began. Rev. Fr. Conrado Santos, DCFL Chairman noted the importance of this primer to all couple workers of the Commission. Certificates of Recognition were awarded to mandated organizations and communities such as CFC, Marriage Encounter, TIPANAN/Ugnayan and others. The program ended with the Holy Mass which was also led by Fr. Santos. More than 700 became members and attended the Forum.
