Gabay Pastoral: FEAST OF THE HOLY CROSS (09.12.04)

On Saturday, September 14th, is the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. The Mass that will be celebrated throughout the day is for this feast. According to the Table of Precedence of Liturgical Days, the Lord's Feasts are of higher rank than Sundays in Ordinary Time.

The Masses in the parishes and chapels on the afternoon or evening of September 14 (from 4 pm onwards) will coincide with the Feast of the Exposition of the Holy Cross (prayers and readings) and will express the faith.  However, those who attend here will also be able to fulfill their responsibility to go to church on Sunday.
