On September 28, 2024, the original image of Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario de Hagonoy visited the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary in Orani, Bataan. It is part of the annual “Recorrida de la Virgen,” a practice of visiting the image of the Blessed Virgin to devotees outside her parish before beginning the nine-day preparation for the feast.
As part of the celebration, Mass was held at the river and pagoda, where the Virgin of Orani was greeted with the image of Santa Ana de Hagonoy from the National Shrine and Parish of Saint Anne. After the Pagoda, there was a procession to the church. The "Rito ng Paglamambong" was also performed, a ceremony in which the devotees entered under the mantle of the Virgin to pray.
The purpose of this visit is to extend and strengthen the relationship between the towns of Orani and Hagonoy. In 2019, the Virgin visited for the first time, but the following years were delayed due to the pandemic. It also coincides with the visit of the Virgen Milagrosa de Orani, as the beginning of November for the upcoming Feast of the Blessed Virgin on October 7. The Virgin of Orani will remain in the Parish of Santísimo Rosario de Hagonoy until October 3, before she is picked up for initiation of their November.
