The members of the Sandigan News and Media Creatives Team were appointed on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the Church of Barasoain, Malolos.
It was held at the 6 pm Mass led by Father Joseph Franz Dizon, Chairman of the Diocesan Commission on Social Communications (DCSC). The one who delivered the Homily was the former Chairman of the DCSC, Father Dars Cabral. Before the mass, there was a gathering of media volunteers from different vicaries of the Diocese of Malolos at Fr. Juan Giron Hall.
Mr. Erik Tenedero, News Editor of ABS-CBN, gave an interview about appropriate news writing, especially in the context of social media. This was followed by a discussion by Fr. Franz about Catholic Journalism and the proper gathering of information in the ecclesiastical sectors. Processes related to the publication of news and other contents in the Sandigan were also discussed in the said hall.
These activities are part of the continuous promotion and improvement of the Official publication of the Diocese on Social Media and the Internet, Sandigan. It also aims to recruit and train new generations of Catholic journalists as time progresses.
It can be remembered that Sandigan started as the official publication of the Diocese of Malolos but extended to different methods of communication in fulfillment of the mission of the New Evangelization.
