Feast of the Dedication of the Palace Church of San Juan in Laterano
Every November 9th, the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Consecration in the Lateran Palace, Rome. This year, this festival falls on Saturday.
The Holy Masses on Saturday morning, even in the afternoon, and until the evening in churches and chapels are about this feast.
The prayers in the Sacramentary and readings from the Lectionary scheduled for the day will be used in the Masses. See the Ordo or Liturgical Calendar for reference.
However, those who go to church on Saturday afternoon or evening have already fulfilled the obligation to go to church for Sunday.
