September 8, 2024 - Several parishes in the Diocese of Malolos held the Holy Hour in solidarity with the 53rd International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) being held in Quito, Ecuador.
Here are some parishes that held the Holy Hour: Parish of San Diego de Alcala in Polo, City of Valenzuela, Parish of San Isidro Labrador and San Roque in Malhacan, City of Meycauayan, Preparatory Parish of the Virgin of Sto. Rosario in Metrogate, also the City of Meycauayan, Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Agustin in the City of Baliwag and Basilica Minore and Parish-Cathedral of Inmaculada Concepcion in the City of Malolos.
The photos show the participation of lay people in the said work. It can be remembered that the purpose of the IEC is to revive the Catholic faith and unite the Catholic people in worship, since its first holding in France in 1881.
The IEC continues to be held in Ecuador with the theme Fraternidad para sanar el mundo (Brotherhood towards healing the world) until this coming Sunday, September 15th.
