Sandigan Kaalaman: GOOD FRIDAY OF THE LORD’S PASSION (04.18.25)

Good Friday is the commemoration of the death of the Lord Jesus, especially the sign of the word. From Isaiah 53 to the Passion according to Saint John, we contemplate the mystery of the Holy Cross that ends with the victorious and glorious Christ (Regna Aligno Deus).

On this day we commemorate the death of Jesus. In our mourning, we will not celebrate Holy Mass.

Instead, we will listen to and meditate on the Word of God regarding the death of Jesus. We will honor the Cross that was the instrument of Jesus' death. Our honor is the wooden cross that was the instrument so that our sins could be forgiven through the death of our Lord.

We will receive Communion, because the one we commemorate who died is alive with us.
