Members of the altar servers gathered at the Vicarial altar of San Francisco of Assisi – Meycauayan for a Vicarial Altar Servers' Day. Sacristans attended from 11 parishes of the vicarage in the Parish of Sto. Niño in the City of Meycauayan on August 23, 2024.
This work was performed as part of the commemoration of the patron saint of sacristan, St. Tarcisius of Rome, which is celebrated every August 15th. In the message given by Fr. Arvin Ray Jimenez, Spiritual Director of the Diocesan Ministry of Altar Servers, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the "sense of the sacred" in the altar service and the relationship with God as part of this service.
The vicarate also gave recognition to attendants who have served more than 10 years in the ministry. The main proponents of the program, Bro. Marvin Dalag, Fr. Norberto Gagui, and Msgr. Andres Valera was thanked for their contribution to the successful implementation of the activity.
