The Parish of San Juan de Dios, San Rafael, Bulacan held a program called 'Lakbay-Imahen ni San Rafael Archangel sa mga Parokya or L.I.P.A.D' which started on June 3, current year, in preparation for the celebration of the feast of the patron saint of the City of San Raphael. It was led by Father Gerardo "Gerry" Fortunato, Parish Priest, and Sis. Emelita A. Vasallo, representative of the Parish Pastoral Council.
L.I.P.A.D first visited their town government and the parishes in the Diocese of Malolos followed. The purpose of this work is to deepen the faith and spread and introduce San Rafael Archangel.
Here are those who went to L.I.P.A.D and Parish Priests who received the image including Father Felizardo Rivera of Nuestra Señora De Lourdes Parish, DRT (June 8-14); Padre Jose Rodel Ponce of the National Shrine of Saint Anne, Hagonoy (June 15-17); Father Rufino Sulit of the Parish of Santiago Apostol, Plaridel (June 22-29); Father Roberto Mariano of the Immaculate Conception Parish Cathedral and Minor Basilica, Malolos City (June 29-July 6); Father Javier Joaquin of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Assumption, Bulakan (July 6-13) and Father Cenon Dennis Santos of the Parish of San Ildefonso, Guiguinto (July 13-20).
Also, L.I.P.A.D visited the parishes in Bikarya of Baliwag including the jurisdiction of Father Manuel Villaroman of Sta. Monica Parish, Angat (August 17-23); Father Jose Luis Perez of the Parish of San Pablo Apostol (August 23-31); Father Leocadio de Jesus of Sto. Niño Parish, Bustos (August 31-September 7); Father Narciso Sampana of the Pandiocese Shrine and Parish of San Agustin, City of Baliwag (September 7-14) and Father Felimon Capiral of the Parish of the Blessed Virgin del Carmen of Sabang, Baliwag (September 14-19). L.I.P.A.D will stay in Sabang until September 19 before the novena for San Rafael begins.
The novena will start from September 20 to September 28. On September 29 is the feast of San Rafael Archangel and Bishop Dennis Villarojo will lead the Mayor Mass at 4:30 pm.
