On September 14, 2024, the 16th anniversary of the appointment as the Diocese shrine of the Holy Cross in Wawa was celebrated. This coincides with the launch of activities for the one-year celebration of the 175th year of encounter with the Holy Cross in Wawa with the theme "One Hundred and Seventy-Five Years of Grace and Hope in the Town of Bocaue."
Led by Most Rev. Dennis C. Villarojo, D.D., Bishop of Malolos, with Father Mario Jose C. Ladra, Parish Priest, and Father Divino Albrin M. Cayanan, associate Priest, the Holy Mass for the Feast of the Presentation of the Holy Cross. The celebration was held at the Parish of San Martin of Tours in Bocaue, Bulacan.
In connection with the celebration, there was an exhibit related to the devotion to the Holy Cross in Wawa. Clothes, silverware, and a brief history about the encounter of the Cross and the growth of the Bocaue people's faith in the Holy Cross can be seen here.
There was also a procession featuring the images of the various patrons of the Cross of the Sub-parishes and schools. This year is unique for the town of Bocaue because the image of the "Cross of Matahong" from the City of Malabon visited and joined.
