Balitang Sandigan: 2025 PHILIPPINE ELECTIONS DISCUSSED ON SEPTEMBER PRIESTS’ RECOLLECTION (09.22.24)

On September 16, 2024, the monthly retreat of priests in the Diocese of Malolos was held at the Immaculate Conception Seminary Gymnasium in Tabe, Guiguinto, Bulacan. It was attended by Bishop Dennis Villarojo along with more than one hundred (100) priests from different vicariates covered by the diocese.

The purpose of this gathering is to intensify the campaign for a fair election next year. The guest of honor and speaker was Hon. George Erwin Garcia, Chairman of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), and Dr. Arwin Serrano, National coordinator of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

According to Mr. Garcia, encourage people to register to vote until September 30, 2024. Mr. Serrano encouraged priests and churches to work together for voters' education or empowerment in the upcoming elections.

This is an important reminder that the church will continue to proclaim what is right for the 2025 Election.
