The Visita Pastoral by Bishop Dennis Villarojo was held at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Agustin in the City of Baliwag on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 9:00 am.
Bishop Dennis was welcomed by Father Narciso Sampana, Rector and Parish Priest, Father Carlo Mendoza, Parochial Vicar, Sis. Bheet Benavidez, PPC Vice-Chairman, Sis. Arcie Baltazar of the Shrine Ministry and the parishioners.
There was a Liturgical Reception followed by the celebration of the Sacrament of the Congregation. More than one hundred people received the sacrament. A review of the parish's Canonical Books and Accounting System was also conducted. Bishop Dennis also toured the parish facilities. The Visita Pastoral is also part of the visit to the cemetery and the seven visitors or chapels that belong to it.
There was also a meeting with the Pastoral Council of the parish, young people and members of the Basic Ecclesial Community or BEC. The Holy Mass was held at 5:30 pm presided over by the bishop.
He reminded in his homily, "God is not just good, God is the best! So if in our lives we focus on the best, God according to God is the best that is timely every moment and if we focus on God's goodness other good things just fall in line".
The Bishop awarded the Plenary Indulgence to those who participated and joined in the Visita Pastoral.
